In his article “If You Have a Job, You’re already an Entrepreneur” (Entrepreneur’s Handbook, June 2020), Tim Denning recommends that you think of yourself as an Entrepreneur.
Imagine that your current company is your client and they’ve hired you as a Consultant to perform tasks and provide value. As an Entrepreneur and CEO of YOU, you know that:
• Clients can be temporary
• You are always looking for a new one
Entrepreneurship is a way of thinking, and having that mindset will help you to always be prepared – to be looking out for and willing to move on to the next role.

• Our resumes are up to date
• We’ve paid down debt and have an emergency fund
• We’re actively networking
• We’re properly insured

Small and Simple Things Make a Difference It may seem a cliché, but small and simple things make a difference.
You’ve heard the example of how a drop in a bucket isn’t of any significance. However, many drops in a bucket, over time, fill the bucket and allow it to be useful.
Similarly, small steps toward self-improvement, over time, eventually lead to big changes in our lives and our careers.
